The HR Business Partner position is responsible for day-to-day operations of the HR function in Memphis; partnering with and advising Nike leaders. This role is responsible for the administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs and carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Human Resource Information Systems, change management, employee relations, training and development, compensation, organizational development, and employment. This position reports to the HR Director.
Essential Functions:
  1. Assists with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines which aligns the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
  2. Partners with management to communicate HR policies, procedures, programs, and laws.
  3. Serves as the first point of HR on-site contact and provides employee relations counseling.
  4. Acts as a coach and consultant for leaders on matters of performance management, leadership capability, employee morale, etc.
  5. Maintain compliance to important policies and procedures as well as all relevant government laws and regulations (i.e. EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.)
  6. Assesses the organization so that it supports the attainment of the company's goals

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment within a distribution center.
Travel
10% travel is expected for this position.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with schedule flexing based on business and operational need.

 What You Bring to Nike

  • A Bachelor's degree and three years of HR experience or equivalent mix of education and experience
  • HR experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Professional HR Certification preferred
