The Business Intelligence group within CDS is looking for an accomplished, proactive Business Intelligence Manager, who possesses an in depth understanding of Tableau, experience with shaping and optimizing data, and a demonstrated talent for data visualization. With an ability to translate business needs into finished, high quality dashboard designs. The manager will play a leading role in every area of dashboard development: gathering business requirements, scoping/planning the project, shaping and joining data with SQL and other programs, and publishing the finished product. The manager will have a solid administrative experience to optimize/organize Tableau Server and our Knowledge Portal product.


If this is you, you’ll be a manager and contributor in all aspects of dashboard development. You will work with the business, taking their requirements and interpreting them into wireframes and feedback that determines direction of the finished product. You will engage in dashboard development with ownership of the design, calculations, accuracy, and data source, and you will serve a key role in the administration of Tableau Server and the Knowledge Portal.


Reporting into the BI Global Sr Manager, the BI Manager will work in close partnership with all members of the Advanced Analytics group and collaborate with leaders within the business who are seeking insight. The manager will form close ties ‘upstream’ to the CDAT engineering team on quality assurance and any ETL-based improvements.

Open to remote work, except cannot work in Colorado, South Dakota, Vermont Nevada, and West Virginia

  • 6-8 years of Tableau development experience at an advanced level, with in depth knowledge across the lifecycle, e.g. wireframing, calculations, data querying/connection, building out visualizations, and publishing
  • Demonstrated understanding of dashboard style and design, with examples available to show on request
  • Administrator-level experience with Tableau Server: manage subscriptions, updating groups and users, compose alerts, monitoring extracts, and handling project folder permissions
  • Hands-on programming experience in SQL
  • Experience working with large datasets, preferably from cloud databases such as Snowflake, and a passion for data exploration and optimization
  • Understanding of customer analytics / CRM at a retail or consumer brand is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple dashboard development projects simultaneously and coordinate with others on multidimensional data/dashboard projects
  • Ability to connect with business partners to gather requirements, wireframe and share designs, and put out a finished product in alignment with insight needs
  • Outcome driven with a bias toward action and the ability to communicate and convince partners around dashboards that drive insight
