WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Senior Director, Programs, Global Procurement is a leader who instills trust, develops and empowers their team, and builds valuable partnerships. This leader will be responsible for strategizing, leading, implementing and promoting key strategic programs such as Business Diversity & Inclusion (BD&I), Sustainability, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) & Special Assets.

The candidate will build commitment & alignment from within the Global Procurement and with key partners across Nike Inc. This person will have excellent communication & interpersonal skills and organizational skills to support the successful development & delivery of these programs. This person will have to demonstrate previous record of successful implementations of such programs for global entities. Your technical skills and understanding all components that these programs entail will be critical to be considered for this role.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working with the Global Procurement team to lead the development and implementation of programs core to Global Procurements continued success. In the area of Purpose, you will build an impactful, measurable & enterprise wide BD&I strategy to deliver Nike’s goal of $1bn of diverse spend by 2025. You will deliver on Nike's dedication to renewable energy, by finalizing the delivery of RE100 globally, as well as develop the approach to embed sustainability in global procurement goals, category strategies & sourcing activities. When it comes to managing risk, you will implement action plans for all open audits to mitigate third party risk on behalf of the enterprise. To ensure Nike builds the right partnerships with its most important suppliers you will develop the framework for improved Supplier Relationship Management for all procurement categories.

Every day we work closely with the category procurement teams who will be key partners in actioning the programs within their category strategies, as well as with business teams to ensure alignment of our activities with our external partners and the actions of our internal organization.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this newly created role, you will report to the VP, Chief Procurement Officer as part of the Global Procurement Leadership team. You will manage a team responsible for advancing the implementation of key programs across the global procurement & Nike Inc. In order to be successful, you will need to develop relationships with the category management and sourcing teams. You will also need to build partnerships with business functions such as Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Sustainability & Compliance. In doing so, you will demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

 

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Retail, CPG, or similar
  • 10+ years of leadership/management experience with large sophisticated organizations
  • Proven experience and ability to lead and develop multiple complex programs.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to present to the Executive audience
  • Broad understanding of how these initiatives impact Nike, our consumer base, and overall economic structure
  • Prior experience driving global programs & transformation, concept to a full global rollout
  • Ability to synthesize analysis into compelling verbal and written communications and presentations
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Vizio)
