We’re looking for a University Relations Director to build and execute an end-to-end early career talent strategy. Our ideal University Relations Director will attract and acquire top diverse emerging leaders to support capabilities across Nike’s enterprise – including internships, rotational programs, and direct hire programs (Undergraduate and Graduate/MBA talent). We lead the talent strategy and framework across Nike’s footprint in North America. We build and expand balanced talent pipelines with a focus on premium experiences and outstanding programs. With a deep knowledge of recruitment management, diversity recruiting strategies, and passion for early career talent; we are searching for an agile leader, a teammate with proven cross-functional collaboration, and a track record of driving innovative initiatives.


In the University Relations Director position, you will lead a hard-working team of Recruiting professionals supporting multiple business functions. You will build a recruitment strategy with a focus on acquiring early career talent and emerging leaders to drive capabilities and recruitment initiatives. You will define talent demand and talent allocations to impact the conversion of university hiring goals across the enterprise. You’ll lead the development of a comprehensive annual plan along with a calendar of recruitment events designed to provide a quality candidate experience that yields hires and brand ambassadors. You will serve as an influencer to drive business engagement and recruitment expectations. Additionally, you will have accountability for readiness training, onboarding processes, summer internship programs, and premium development experiences to impact conversion and return on investment.


You will be an integral part of the Global University Relations & Recruiting Programs leadership team! You will lead a team of Recruiters. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally and partner closely with TA Directors, Executive leaders, HR Business Partners, Talent Practitioners, and Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) teams. You will work closely with Talent Attraction and HR Analytics partners to provide market research insights, track metrics, report data trends to achieve goals, drive performance, and make business decisions aligned to the talent strategy. Also, you will be responsible for relationship management of key university campus partners and diversity partnerships to establish brand awareness as an employer of choice.


  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, or related field from an accredited university, or a combination of demonstrable experience, education, and training
  • 8+ years of recruiting within University Relations campus recruitment, early career talent programs, and/or DE&I recruitment strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-performing recruitment teams and leading enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Ability to build a multi-year strategic plan and achieving desired outcomes
  • Experience leading in-person and virtual recruitment program initiatives
  • Experience managing relationships with key partners – including but not limited to diversity partnerships/conferences, HBCUs, HSIs, student organizations/clubs
  • Demonstrated influence cross-functionally with HR Business Partners, Senior Leaders, and core business functions
  • Ability to travel up to 30% during the peak recruitment season
