WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our next Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a change agent and will bring a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities of a complex North America (NA) retail environment. We are searching for a dynamic leader who thrives in ambiguity and is flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced organization. Demonstrating experience building strategic HR communication plans and problem solving, our HR team demonstrates strong executive communication and presentation skills to communicate across all levels of the organization. Our HR team is driven by results, influences and leads with minimal direction all while collaborating and operationalizing programs that immediately benefit our Store Athletes.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

In partnership with HR Compliance, HR Direct, Store Operations and the Legal team, you will ensure that we are staying compliant with constantly evolving laws, regulations, policies and processes. You will be the voice of the field related to HR issues within Total Rewards, Talent Management, Learning and Development, Employee Relations and DE&I.

You will also play a pivotal role in building leadership capability and driving engagement through proactive partnerships with both business and COE partners! Leading the NA HR incident command for the retail field, you'll lead the day-to-day crisis management in partnership with HR Direct, Store Operations, Total Rewards, Payroll, Legal and Communications. You will align with these teams on a philosophy and approach to the various crisis scenarios to effectively support the business and Nike Store Athletes.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

We are all in this together! You will work as a point of escalation through partnership with Retail Leadership, HR COE’s, Retail Operations and Communications. You will work closely with the NA Nike Direct HR team and Nike Direct leadership teams in order to drive real time solutions. You will report directly to the NA Sr HRBP Retail, and will work closely with Nike HR COE partners and the Nike Direct Territory HRBPs.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education and training.
  • 8 years' of HR experience, working in close partnership with Total Rewards, Employee Relations, Recruiting, HR Operations – in service of a retail organization.
  • 2+ years in an HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • Experience supporting executive leaders in organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of the retail landscape, retail business drivers and retail HR practices.
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering projects and programs involving cross-functional partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization – ability to make the complex simple, and adjust communication style and content to the relevant audience.
  • Proven experience of developing strong, collaborative partnerships with business leaders and cross-functional teams.
