Will lead the design and development of a technical solution that meets the needs of the business and aligns with architectural and quality standards and effectively integrates solutions delivered with adjacent and tertiary solutions and technologies in Beaverton, OR. Will independently identify, define, direct and perform analysis to resolve complex first-time issues in the area of android development. Will review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, debugging, and installing for a small to mid-scale system. Will ensure the effective performance of assigned products and their integration with adjacent solutions and technologies. Will develop working knowledge of tertiary domains. Will provide leadership to the squad / work team and will deliver a vision for work requirements for the quarter. Will design the scope of sprints within the quarter. Will provide the vision for the scope of sprints within the quarter. Will mentor and develop the capabilities of team members. Will conduct technical assessments of team members and provide feedback on performance as necessary. Will conduct technical interviews of candidates. Will ensure knowledge sharing within the team and across teams, including internal presentations to large audiences, detailed blogs, and common inter-team resources. Will conduct complete diagnoses of business problems and work with colleagues in the business to define the scope for the solution and desired solutions. Will collaborate with the product owner and assist with managing stakeholder expectations. Will develop a mastery of standard processes and methodologies and help educate the technical community, including Agile and continuous delivery. Will train and provide ongoing coaching to junior staff. Will select tools and methodologies for projects. Will identify the interdependencies between systems and products, assess risk, and develop mitigation strategies in major initiatives. Will serve as the critical technical lead for business solutions from ideation to implementation. Will develop android applications. Will review the design of mobile applications to consume server-based REST API’s. Will utilize knowledge of modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Will perform technical code reviews. 


Education Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering, computer science, information technology, or computer engineering. Will also accept a master’s degree in electronics engineering, computer science, information technology, or computer engineering. Experience: A Bachelor’s degree and five years of overall progressive experience in software design and development. A Masters degree and three years of experience in software design and development  Skills/Requirements3 years of experience: : (1) android development; (2) quality engineering to ensure that the architecture and vision performs correctly; (3) reviewing the work of junior engineers to ensure accuracy; (4) integrating related software libraries from core functioning teams; (5) bluetooth and wireless technology; (6) Kotlin; (7) reviewing and improving upon android best practices; (8) improving the architecture of existing mobile applications; and (9) developing and maintaining cloud services.
