NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Will be responsible for a team that builds simple and intuitive APIs’ for a very large developer community in Beaverton, OR. Will work within the latest methodologies and within value-driven solution delivery. Will provide guidance and mentorship to teammates and colleagues. Will rely on a strong understanding of AWS cloud engineering and tools, including AWS Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail, S3, Lambda, and Kinesis. Will use development languages, including Java 8+, Node.js, AngularJS, ReactJS, and Redux. Will understand and write clean, eloquent, and minimal code in a load-balanced environment to achieve value added business outcomes. Will use No-SQL database, including DynamoDB and Cassandra. Will rely on an understanding of scalable, highly available, and eventually consistent distributed systems. Will work in a Waterfall or Lean/Agile delivery environment. Will offer SCRUM/XP development. Will collaborate with product owners, product managers and business subject matter experts to ensure delivered solutions optimally support the achievement of business outcomes. Will collaborate with the team to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs. Will have three to seven direct subordinates. Will engage in five percent or less domestic and international travel. 
Education: Bachelors’ degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering. Will also accept a Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering Experience: a Bachelor’s degree and seven years of o experience in software engineering. Will also accept a Master’s degree and five years of experience in software engineering. Skills/Requirements:  2 years of experience: (1) Java; (2) web frameworks and server side development, using NodeJS and Python servers; (3) Javascript front-end development using vanilla Javascript, JQuery, AngularJS, ReactJS, and Redux; (4) Python development; (5) MongoDB database administration; (6) testing frameworks using Junit, Sinon, Chai, Karma, Jasmine, and Jenkins; (7) development for user privacy, with regards to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard; (8) AWS technologies including Lambdas, Kinesis, and S3; and (9) SQL and No-SQL database administration
