NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Will set the department’s strategy to enable the design of scalable, end-to-end analytics solutions in Beaverton, OR. Will anticipate, identify and facilitate the solution to enterprise issues concerning data management to improve data quality. Will own the relationships with key business stakeholders to understand and anticipate current and future business needs. Will communicate with leadership across organizations both influencing the end-to-end solutions and protecting the interest of the department. Will manage, mentor, and inspire teams; managing performance, goals and development potential. Will build and manage a budget for department. Will evaluate potential new talent. Will develop business intelligence systems and work with big data. Will review data structures and algorithms. Will oversee solution and technical design. Will work with big data in MPP architecture. Will build solutions using data and platform services. Will participate in the development and execution of an enterprise strategy. Will engage in ten percent or less domestic and international travel. Will have five to ten direct subordinates.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, math, or engineering. Experience: Bachelor’s degree and ten years of overall progressive experience in computer engineering. Skills/Requirements:  10 years of experience: (1) managing high volume data environments; (2) machine learning and statistical analysis, programming, and scripting capabilities; (3) data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data architecture; (4) Amazon Web Services cloud platform tools; (5) data warehousing tools, including Dynamo DB, Oracle, SQL, Amazon Redshift, and Snowflake; (6) data platforms, including EMR, Data Bricks, and Amazon Web Services; (7) data integration tools, including SQL, Spark, Scala, Python, Data Bricks, Airflow, R, and Machine Learning; (8) business intelligence reporting tools; and (9) participating in the development and execution of an enterprise strategy.
