NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Will lead the vision and creation of physical and digital experiences for athletes worldwide in Beaverton, OR. Will work closely with the insights team to brief them on research needs to inform work. Will partner with the teams to uncover initial insights to inform ideation or to validate early hypotheses around new consumer journeys and experiences. Will engage in market research. Will partner with the concepts, product, services team and analytics teams to inform strategic decisions. Will work within a cross-functional team to articulate the fundamental approach and strategy for the consumer experience. Will set the principles and guidelines for the detailed services and experiences that will be developed and help articulate the questions that need to be answered in order to define and validate the journey. Will run consumer journey workshops across multiple teams at the outset of new programs to ensure the work is founded in insights, is clear on roadmap capabilities, considers the entire consumer and athlete experiences, accounts for trends, and is pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Will articulate the end-to-end service and experience to teams across the organization to achieve broad understanding and alignment.  Will deliver vision in an inspirational and meaningful way that clearly articulates the consumer benefit and alignment to the strategy, including visual presentations, storyboards, and prototypes. Will create end-to-end journey maps communicating how consumers, members and store athletes will engage in services. Will align the numerous groups required to orchestrate a consumer-centric offering across complex systems and teams. Will create blueprints to support detailed physical and digital dependencies, operational processes and brand and marketing support that are required to bring the journey to life.  Will serve to inform and align a cross-functional team on a delivery plan, and drive cross-functional team roadmaps. Will have one to three direct subordinates. Will engage in 25 percent or less domestic and international travel.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, fashion design, experience design, or service design. Experience: six years of overall progressive experience in strategy for design within the retail field. Skills/Requirements:  4 years of experience: (1) user experience design; (2) brand design; (3) graphic design; (4) spatial environmental design; (5) service design; (6) physical and UX prototyping; (7) qualitative research to determine user needs and develop strategy; and (8) business analysis and design strategy to meet business requirements pertaining to cost implication and market size.
