Footwear Graphic Designer –NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Translates key city consumer insights into product design solutions for specific needs of the consumers in Deep knowledge of cultural nuances that ensure storytelling is authentic, connective, and culturally-sensitive. Proven ability to design consumer-right and on-brand hyperlocal product for fashion and sport consumers in a quick-to-market product creation environment. Understanding of brand history, sport, footwear innovation, local consumer trends and product storytelling. Creates innovative, retail-viable graphics and color design options for a line of footwear through knowledge of the Nike Footwear Product Creation process and high communication and organization skills required to work with cross-functional groups such as design, product marketing, development, and materials. Manages design for collections of a variety of diverse product needs for the fashion, sport and sportswear industry that includes knowledge of function, fashion, culture and trend. Conceptualizes design direction with a multi-disciplinary design team from insights to concept to retail presentation inclusive of researching hyperlocal color, graphics, design, market and lifestyle trends to influence a unique design strategy that aligns to Global internal seasonal strategies. Create a color and graphic design strategy that works across Footwear and Apparel product lines for holistic consumer-facing collections. Maintains calendar/timelines/deadlines that result in a timely completion of each product. Applies and performs design skills, including sketching, concept ideation, color theory and visual presentation. Ability to communicate and present strategy and design concepts to internal Design Leadership. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
