Senior Site Reliability Engineer–Nike, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Observe, diagnose, and develop fixes for production issues quickly and efficiently and develop and determine supervising solutions that provide visibility into site health and key performance indicators. Clearly articulate issues and their impacts. Report and communicate high value metrics to leadership. Comprehend the business landscape and how site reliability influences our consumers. Work across teams, business and technical, to continuously analyze system performance in production, troubleshoot consumer reported issues, and proactively identify areas in need of optimization. Manage and lead application reliability practices for order management and fulfillment related systems. Use negotiation and influencing skills. Use coaching, guiding, mentoring and learning skills and perform deep problem analysis. Detect infrastructure or code defects, define, report, and create observability processes for key performance indicators (KPIs), and work with product delivery teams to provide long term solutions to production issues. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Applicant must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems and Technology and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a technology-related occupation. Experience must include:
- Amazon EC2;
- New Relic;
- Technology Operations Support;
- Observability Implementation;
- RESTful APIs;
- Digital Supply Chain;
- SQL; and
- Microservice Architecture.
