Software Engineer–Nike, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Develop, configure, and test programs, systems and solutions in order to meet defined digital product specifications and directions. Require technical development of digital products that meets the consumer needs as defined by product managers and aligns with architectural standards. Assess a well-defined problem and support the development of a technical solution that meets the needs of the business and aligns with architectural standards. Manage small-to moderate-sized solutions, and play a key role in larger teams, working within parameters of two- to three sprints. Advise product owners on discrete technology-related business problems, formulate solutions, including assessing their relative merits and risks. Work with product owners to determine the best solution. Design and implement new features and fix defects in existing code base. Write automated unit tests to validate code changes and write automated integration, tests, and manually test changes in an integrated environment. Debug issues found during testing and troubleshoot issues in production environment. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Information Systems and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a computer-related occupation. Experience must include:
- Development and maintenance of enterprise applications using Typescript, Node.Js, and Java;
- React or Java Script frameworks;
- DevOps practices and test automation, including CI/CD using Jenkins;
- Agile development;
- Micro services architecture;
- RESTful services;
- Amazon Web Services;
- Source code maintenance, using Github;
- Monitoring tools, such as, New relic, Signalfx, and Splunk;
- RDS databases, such as, Oracle, MySQL, and Postgres;
- Project management tools, such as, Jira and Confluence; and
- Postman API testing.
