Supply Chain

The Nike, Inc. Supply Chain team is the engine that propels product around the world. Supply Chain experts ensure that every year, almost a billion units of footwear, apparel and equipment arrive at the right place, at the right time. To ensure this complex job goes off without a hitch, Supply Chain teams work with a network of more than 50 distribution centers, thousands of accountants, and more than 100,000 retail stores worldwide — making the impossible happen every single day.

Will lead the planning execution for an assigned category in Beaverton, OR. Will serve category customers as their primary point of contact for all inventory planning business needs. Will oversee products across apparel, footwear and equipment for a category.  Will ensure that all products are planned by leveraging system parameters, evaluating risks and returns, and ensuring the highest level of coverage for the business.  Will escalate any issues that will cause unfulfilled demand and/or a delay to the expected timelines. Will partner with demand planning, merchandising, territory planning, purchasing, inventory management and global supply chain partners to drive positive business results. Will be a source of information for many key internal partners.  Will represent a team on projects and support key initiatives that have an impact to day-to-day business.  Will review key metrics and identification of root cause analysis opportunities. Will identify and implement issues resolution to improve business metrics. Will serve as an inventory planning point-of-contact for category customers, including demand planning, merchandising, and sales. Will engage and partner with teams and cross-functional partners to pull solution levers. Will participate in strategic initiative projects and process improvements. Will understand and apply global planning processes and policies. Will use SAP APO, Cognos, and Tableau. Will engage in ten percent or less domestic and international travel. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial management, operations, or engineering. Experience: two years of experience in supply chain planning and purchasing. Skills/Requirements2 years of experience: (1) inventory risk management; (2) managing supply chains in a retail oriented organization to improve efficiencies and effective decisions; (3) utilizing planning software; (4) utilizing a reporting suite; (5) inventory planning; (6) quantitative analysis to engage in root cause analysis and to develop solutions; (7) risk evaluation to evaluate whether appropriate amounts of supply are going to appropriate locations around the world; and (8) driving profitability through process improvement.
