Responsibilities

Will bring together technology and processing expertise to deliver one-stop solutions that enable digital products and services in Beaverton, OR. Will create, develop, and deploy seamless, tailored and inherently social experiences to digital consumers. Will design and build robust services to bring the commerce cloud solution to the next level. Will work with the NIKE.com cloud platform. Will collaborate with software and creative design team members and supporting agencies to develop and analyze user stories, transform them into implementable components, and deliver inspirational new features to our consumers. Will utilize Java skills. Will build distributed and highly scalable applications. Will work with Git and Git workflows. Will leverage and deploy CI and CD tools and services (e.g. Jenkins). Will integrate with native AWS services. Will work with containers and micro services. Will work with schemaless (NoSql) datastores. Will be responsible for the configuration, management, and troubleshooting common web server, database, caching, database, and firewall services. Will work with common network troubleshooting tools, including tcpdump, netcat, and wireshark. Will engage in 10 percent domestic and international travel.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, or engineering. Will also accept a Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, or engineering. Experience: 4 years of experience in software design and development with a bachelors degree. 2 years of experience in software design and development and a masters degree Skills/Requirements 6 months of experience in the following skill sets: (1) enterprise distributed systems, (2) designing and implementing highly scalable web applications, (3) production level experience in using infrastructure as code and configuration management, including using puppet, (4) designing and creating scalable Rest Webservices, (5) schema lists, including NoSQL, data stores, DynamoDB, and Cassandra; (6) distributed cloud based environments, including Amazon and Azure, (7) monitoring and alerting tools, including New Relic and Nagios; (8) production level experience in container ecosystems, including Docker; and (9) Java MVC framework, including Spring boot.
