Responsibilities

Will work in microservice architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful APIs using Java in Beaverton, OR. Will work in a distributed/cloud-based environment with high transaction volumes. Will work with data structures, algorithms, and architecture patterns. Will define solutions, provide estimates on effort and risk, and evaluate technical feasibility. Will work with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Will practice full DevOps while ensuring a culture of testing and releasing software on AWS continuously using automation and monitoring. Will leverage NoSQL using AWS DynamoDB to ensure data storage is designed for security, reliability, availability, maintainability, and performance. Will deliver software in a Scrum development process. Will perform technical code reviews and pair programming. Will partner with other teams to ensure the service ecosystem is loosely coupled and scalable. Will work with CD/CI and related tools such as Jenkins and TeamCity. Will engage in five percent or less domestic and international travel. 

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, engineering technology or math. Experience: five years of overall progressive experience in software engineering, system analysis or hardware infrastructure. Skills/Requirementsfive years of experience: (1) Java; (2) AWS; (3) IBM Sterling; (4) Web Service development; (5) building order and inventory management solutions; (6) unit and integration testing; (7) Javascript; (8) SQL and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, Cassandra, and DynamoDB; and (9) Agile and SCRUM principles.
