Responsibilities

Our team needs a strong front end architect to work across the various initiatives within Nike Digital. This role spans our entire nike.com ecosystem   You will be responsible for creating globally scalable solutions that are always available.  This role also works strategically with product to help define the vision and verify investment in the correct areas.  You will be both creating solutions and publicizing them.  You will act as a consultant to engineering and will be providing vision to senior leadership.  You will occasionally be hands-on coding on foundational initiatives.

Your Experience

You have more than combined 6 years’ experience in software engineering and architecture.  You have written production applications in more than one language.  You are passionate about technology and can present your vision to both development teams and senior leadership.  You have developed standards and best practices and can clearly explain how they have provided value and efficiency gains.

Qualifications

  • 6 year’s software engineering and architecture experience
  • eCommerce expert with knowledge of current trends
  • Expert level front end development skills (Node.js, react.js, npm)
  • Expert level CDN knowledge
  • Proficient in AWS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other engineering discipline
  • API consumption and design using OpenAPI/Swagger or API Blueprint
  • Demonstrated track record of leading within complex organizations requiring strong influence management skills - ability to work cooperatively at all levels in matrix environment
  • Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills with ability to facilitate technology strategy, requirements and architecture conversations with all stakeholders (management, business users, and technology resources)
  • Self-starter with high motivation and passion who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to change
  • Strong leadership, confidence, and influencing skills. High level of executive presence
  • Large enterprise experience including global experience with solution delivery
  • Proficiency in English
