Nike, Inc. exists to innovate for athletes. Nike Sports Marketing professionals provide the vital linkage between the company and Nike-sponsored athletes, clubs and federations worldwide. Sports Marketing employees partner with premier athletes to collect insights about existing and future products, gather inspirational stories about sport and nurture long-term relationships between the athletes and the company. The team develops and executes sports marketing strategies, obtains endorsements and licensing agreements and serves as Nike ambassadors to the sports community worldwide. Their relationships build the foundation of Nike’s product creation: Nike creates exceptional products because its employees listen to exceptional athletes.

The Nike, Inc. Communications team develops, establishes and strengthens authentic connections with diverse audiences through the lens of innovation and sport. The team creates premium and innovative brand stories, builds and enhances corporate reputation and brand equity, and engages audiences such as consumers, media, athletes, investors, non-governmental organizations and Nike’s own employees. The team focuses on information, inspiration and connection to accelerate the growth of Nike, Inc. Communications employees ignite conversations, envision the possibilities, and influence and deliver new levels of creative and strategic thinking to advance the brand around the world.


• Scouting/Talent ID
o With a key focus on identifying and signing the best NIKE Athletics team in preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, this role is responsible for executing against NIKE’s Global Athletics strategy, including the successful scouting, signing, and servicing of both current athletes and future NIKE stars.

• Relationship Building
o Develop and maintain key relationships within France’s athletics ecosystem, including athletes, coaches, agents, and other key influencers, as well as with NIKE Business functions (e.g., Sports Marketing, Brand, Product, etc.).

• Budgeting
o Align with NIKE’s Global Athletics Strategy, with a key focus on building the best Athletics team toward Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
o Manage France’s athletics strategic plan, with focus on the prioritization of investment/divestment planning, as well as early renewals, contributing to the long-term growth of the NIKE Sports Marketing Athletics category.

• Athlete Servicing
o Provide and deliver industry leading service to our NIKE Athletes, while working with our internal partners in the planning and execution of key product styles, launches, and product testing.

• Contract Management and Negotiation
o Work with EMEA (North) Sr. Director Sports Marketing and EMEA Director Athletics on contract negotiation, development, and execution.
o Work closely with NIKE Legal on contract management.

• Brand Integration
o Working with NIKE Brand, you will be responsible for engaging with the EMEA (North) Brand Team(s) to leverage our assets across multiple engagement platforms.

• Proven track record in scouting, negotiating, signing, and servicing athletes and/or federations, specifically within athletics.
• Established network of athletes, coaches, agents, and administrators within France and beyond.
• Industry knowledge of athletics landscape, with a focus on France’s athletics marketplace preferred.
• Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency and direction, having the ability to make difficult decisions and have tough conversations.
• Working knowledge of Athlete Integration, including proven ability to manage and deliver against multiple requests.
• Candidate must have strong NIKE product knowledge and a deep understanding of NIKE Running/T&F product.
• A Minimum of 3-5 year’s work experience in athletics, with a background in coaching, management, and/or as an athlete.
• Requires a university degree (Sports Management/Marketing preferred).
• Strong command of French language, both written and verbal, with English as a second language preferred.
