Who are we looking for?
NIKE’s Enterprise Data & Analytics team is digitally redefining NIKE with data, enabling partners across the company to understand how to align all their growing data in real-time, across all sources and platforms & know how to use it to inform and transform. Enabling this transformation requires the creation, management, sharing and consumption of credible data to generate business value delivery from data assets.
We’re looking for a Data Enablement Expert Fellow to play a significant role in enabling NIKE’s data strategy, driving efficiency in the data value chain. The role will analyze the end-to-end process, identify & prioritize improvement opportunities & implement a best-in-class data supply chain that provides for NIKE’s data and analytics needs across the Enterprise. You will be presented with significant intellectual and technical challenges and provide enormous opportunity for business impact.
The ideal candidate is a strong programmatic leader, a polished communicator with expertise in a variety of continuous improvement methods, a strong analytical toolset, and experience working cross-functionally to solve problems with product and process changes. What will you work on?
In this role, you will perform data analysis/data supply chain analytics to inform and measure progress. Define and execute a strategy to reduce costs in producing data while delivering trusted data to NIKE’s data consumers. You will work cross-functionally to identify the biggest opportunities to reduce costs, root cause problems, and implement product or process changes to fix them. You will measure and drive continuous process improvement. You will partner with other leaders to drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
You will lead efforts to collect and analyze data from throughout the data supply chain, to identify areas of opportunity for improvement
Coordinate the collection and sharing of data with partners (product, engineering, program); serve as the focal point internally for external presentations where data is needed
Identify key variables that impact data trust and value during every step of the data supply chain; work with internal & external partners to identify, collect, monitor and analyze these variables
Design and implement data collection methods to improve measurement & process clarity
Utilizing Lean/SixSigma methodologies, lead and drive data process improvement initiatives, both personally and through mentoring of others
Create appropriate scorecards and metrics packets to enable real-time tracking of trends and operational performance; implement changes in the data supply chain, customer base, etc. to maximize financial returns and operational performance
Define the metrics that will drive success and will be required to design and measure effective experiments
Train key partners in the use of process improvement methodologies for data
Initiative management
Lead initiatives for both process improvement and new process development
Ensure adaptation of new processes by building strong relationships with partners. Employ the use of change management tools as needed
Work with leadership to maintain a portfolio of improvement initiatives, scope, resources, allocation, priority and status
Present, educate, train and facilitate at all levels
Develop, evaluate and revise training materials and supporting tools as needed
Who will you work with?
This position will report to the Senior Director, Enterprise Data Governance. They will partner with Product Management, Data Governance, Data Engineering, Analytics, AI/ML, Customer Success and partners across the data supply chain.
