Who are we looking for

We need a leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, proven track record in leading and executing large-scale initiatives, working across global teams and translating the complex into the simple. Teamwork is at the heart of this job, so be prepared to work in a highly collaborative environment.

What will you work on

In this role, you are responsible for building long-term strategy models for the Made to Play portfolio. That includes analysis and recommendations for where we might shift our investment focus, build plans to encourage alignment across global partners, and identify data gaps and approaches to filling them. Advance NIKE’s excellence as a grant-maker by sharing external knowledge and internal standard methodologies. You will work across the entire portfolio (including grassroots funding platforms) to support powerful story-telling.

Who will you work with

Reporting into the VP of SCI, you will directly manage a team of 2 people and support the development of program managers around the world. The SCI team has Directors in each Geography team, and they lead different global focus areas based on their expertise and bandwidth. Your teammates in the Geographies are critical partners in executing a holistic Made to Play strategy. In addition, you will also work closely with the Inclusive Communities Portfolio team to ensure we share standard methodologies and communicate consistent approaches with all grantees in the field. Finally, you will serve as a knowledge professional around all of our Made to Play work and partner with our Marketing and Communications teams to integrate qualitative and quantitative results into their plans.

What you bring to NIKE
  • Bachelor’s degree; two years of additional experience in lieu of degree. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years in corporate responsibility and social impact with depth of knowledge and network in human development, experience working in sport and physical activity a plus.
  • Global context: proven experience setting strategies and delivering results for diverse and complex environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-team and cross-culture collaboration.
  • Proven ability to frame complex and ambiguous issues and develop action plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to measure, interpret and communicate the quantitative and qualitative aspects of corporate responsibility.
