Beaverton, Oregon

Become a Part of the NIKE, Inc. Team

NIKE, Inc. does more than outfit the world’s best athletes. It is a place to explore potential, obliterate boundaries and push out the edges of what can be. The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At NIKE, Inc. it’s about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a consumer-obsessed change agent who has experience championing consumer insights and research within product organizations. This person will balance art and science to drive a consumer-centric culture to better serve athletes. They need to be adept at translating qualitative and quantitative data from a variety of sources into actionable insights that will fuel consumer concepts, inform brand positioning, influence footwear and apparel product creation, shape global strategic direction, and create business growth. The ideal candidate will thrive as an individual contributor in a fast paced, highly complex offense and organization. This person needs to have a strong voice and excel at collaboration and integration across functions at the Global and Geo levels. Ultimately, they are the lead consumerist for either a global men’s or women’s category, responsible for ensuring the organization is serving the needs of athletes today and into the future.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
The ideal candidate will work on the insights learning agenda and will help set the strategy, near-term and long-term, and prioritize work aligned with key business objectives. You will define and further dimensionalize the consumer through segmentation, identify what we need to learn, and turn insights into meaningful ideas by wiring them into and across functional partners. Your approach and toolkit will balance qualitative and quantitative methodologies. On the quantitative front you will use internal data science and analytics teams and tools. On the qualitative side you will partner with our internal trends and research teams, as well as external agencies and services to build a robust and comprehensive understanding of the consumer. Your work will inform early concept development, product creation, global strategy and seasonal marketing.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
As a Global Consumer Insights Director, you will be an integral part of the Consumer & Market Research team at Nike’s WHQ Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. You will report directly to the leader of either Global Men's or Women's Insights. You will partner with multiple groups across the Consumer Insights function, including Marketplace Trends, Consumer Research, Nike Direct Analytics, Marketing Science, and Data Science, as well as external agencies and business partners in Product Merchandising, Brand Marketing, Design, Strategy, and General Management.
