What you will work on

We are looking for a Senior Principal, Converse Strategy North America that will work with leadership in the North America geography, to define future strategies, build & catalyze integrated strategic plans, and assess the impact of our actions through our business planning processes.

As a Senior Principal you will be responsible for leading the strategic planning process for the geography, authoring strategic & business plans, organizing and leading key strategic meetings, and serving as a critical thought partner to our senior/executive leaders to explore complex business issues. In addition, you will independently lead cross-functional teams aligned to the following categories of projects:

  • Define Future Strategies – Identify, evaluate & recommend new sources of advantage, growth horizons, and business vectors
  • Build & Catalyze Integrated Growth Plans – Activate the Converse Strategy by driving integrated actions to win with creators and deliver long-term, profitable growth. Drive adoption of the strategy by partnering with senior leaders to ensure our strategies are understood in the organization and teams are positioned to execute the plan.
  • Assess Impact – Diagnose results aligned to the plan & prioritize future actions.

What you bring to Converse

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 9-10 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 6 yrs; Masters + 7 yrs; Associates degree + 9yrs; High School + 10 yrs
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training

Preferred requirements

  • Apparel/footwear, retail, merchandising, digital/ecommerce and/or experience in consumer facing industries and proven understanding of the competitive landscape / retail marketplace.
