In partnership with teams across the business, we are working to innovate and accelerate sustainable product solutions and circular business models, accelerate the transition to a net zero emissions future, eliminate waste and protect natural resources, and ensure the people who make and move our product are safe, valued and engaged. We do this by driving our enterprise mandate for sustainability and compliance across climate and environment, people and human rights, foundational expectations, marketplace and supply chain. 

 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about sustainability and Nike and who will leave a lasting impact on our Global Sustainability team.  As an Intern, you will work in one of the following areas:  

  • Climate 

  • Circularity 

  • Natural Resources 

  • Marketplace Sustainability 

  • Compliance 

  • People and Human Rights 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Enrolled in a Business (MBA) and/or Environmental Management or Science graduate program with an expected graduation date of December 2025 or Spring/Summer 2026  

  • Background in Social and Environmental Sustainability, Operations, Supply Chain, Analytics, Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Textiles, Finance, or Retail preferred 

  • At least 2 years of work experience required 

  • 1 page Resume submission (PDF) and 1 page Cover Letter required for consideration 

 

Skills: 

  • General sustainability skills/knowledge strongly preferred, including experience in corporate responsibility, climate, natural resources, circularity, labor and human rights and/or other related topics  

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence teams in a highly matrixed organization 

  • Strong project management, problem structuring and solving skills 

  • Self-starter that is comfortable with ambiguity and has a bias for action  

  • Ability to decipher themes, make decisions, and tell stories from large datasets  

  • Experience presenting to diverse audiences, including senior leadership  

  • Have an inquisitive, growth-focused and process-oriented mindset 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Clearly demonstrated passion for Nike and sustainability 

 

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON 

In the role of a Nike Global Sustainability Graduate Intern, you will work with teams Globally across Nike to embed sustainability into business, manufacturing, operations, and marketplace initiatives. As a Global Sustainability Graduate Intern, you will lead one or more projects that will require you to work across a range of stakeholders, exercise and showcase critical and strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to deliver insights that will move the business forward. 

 

Previous Intern project examples include: 

  • Develop an implementation plan to achieve Nike’s post-consumer waste goals 

  • Develop a plan to finalize 2030 Sustainability Targets and a tool to track senior leader alignment 

  • Research and complete due diligence to recommend a path forward to solve for Nike’s hardest-to-recycle waste materials
