Nike’s Global Technology Finance organization is looking for a Senior Manager, Cloud Finance and Analysis, to provide cloud finance, reporting, and analysis support to Nike’s Global Technology organization!

What you will work on

This person will be a trusted member of a global tech finance team responsible for leading the following efforts in tech finance:

  • Cloud budgeting, planning, forecasting and reporting,
  • Cloud Cost Optimization – finance engagements relating to cloud cost efficiency efforts, reducing our cloud unit cost and bending the overall cloud cost curve,
  • Cloud portfolio analysis and results tracking – this includes building cloud unit cost metrics and operational key performance indicators and engaging with the various technology engineering teams on their Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud capacity provisioning and usage,
  • Building cloud financial models and performance tracking reporting to elevate transparency around cloud economics such as compute utilization, storage optimization, etc
  • Lead the annual and monthly cloud cost forecasting, analysis and reporting for the major cloud service providers, Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure

The ideal candidate must have deep solid understanding and experience with Cloud technology economics and finance and be able to drive finance alignment with leadership across Nike Global Tech functions and geographies. Candidate must understand and be able to work with large and sophisticated cloud datasets and perform deep financial analytics and modeling to drive business and operational storytelling regarding cloud usage and cost.

Who you will work with

As a leader in the Technology Finance team, the ideal candidate will report directly to the Senior Director, Technology Finance for Enterprise Technology! You will work closely with peers across both tech and non-tech finance teams and leaders across multiple domains in the Nike Global Technology organization. You will also work with other non-tech organizations, including the Nike Digital business group, Nike Customer Data Science, Customer Analytics and Customer Insights groups, etc., who are major cloud users. This role provides the Senior Manager, Cloud Finance and Analysis, the opportunity to interact, present, and influence Nike senior leadership to gain support for key technology initiatives and strategies with impact on the Nike Cloud Portfolio.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business analysis, mathematics/analytical finance, data science or computer science, information technology or computer engineering or a combination of the above
  • 8+ years of directly relevant work experience in Technology, Cloud and Finance
  • MBA, or graduate degree preferred.
  • Work experience directly with technology Hardware, Software, Cloud/IaaS, PaaS and cloud related finance and analysis
  • Experience working with any of the main cloud service providers, ie Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
  • Experience working in a cloud-related finance or data science role in a major technology company that uses public cloud
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive 2nd level insights from unstructured data
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret cloud spend and cost data, including understanding of Total Cost of Ownership
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including advanced-level PowerPoint and Excel
  • Working experience with data analysis tools such as the following: AWS, Spark, Python, SQL, ETL etc
  • An ability to think Globally and work with an international culturally diverse team
  • Passion for the NIKE brand
