Who we are looking for

We’re looking for a phenomenal creative design leader/influencer who loves to learn, teach, and collaborate with the global creative community to grow the creative collective. This includes collaborating on the overall vision, process, strategy and standards of the BRS studio. This role requires a passion for leading and inspiring diverse teams, valuing a collective and interdisciplinary approach towards collaboration, ideation and experimentation. They are a positive role model within the Nike Design community.

In addition, the ideal candidate has a history of diverse creative experiences and varied pursuits and interests. They are engaged and knowledgeable with cultural and societal trends and insights.

This role’s main goal is to inspire and empower Nike’s creative culture, thus elevating their mental & physical skills through collaborative creative experiences across the global creative community.

The candidate needs to have Design experience from insight-concept-to experimentation and exploration. Experienced with studio equipment and processes. High communication skills. High influencers draw & connection. Teaching/management/director skills. Project management. Able to seek fresh thinking around design philosophies, processes, and capabilities.
 

What you will work on

If this is you, you’ll be working on educational & inspirational programs to spark creativity. Leading collaborative experiences that create opportunities for our Nike creative community to experience other world class studios and capabilities and experience best practices. Inspire diverse teams across multiple functions. Source speakers to inspire & empower design. Producing opportunities for internal & external residencies that invite external creatives to experience our world class studio and capabilities.


A typical day/week looks like Connecting with design leaders across all aspects of design to align on their creative direction and strategies. Connecting with our comms and Sports marketing partners to seek partnership in empowering and inspiring both our guest (athletes, creatives, designers, influencers, and the community of Nike enthusiast) and our design community. Building educational programs, inspirational experiences, and collaborations under the BRS umbrella. Collaborating across Education and the studio to identify the most beneficial opportunities that truly promote design evolution.

Who you will work with

As a member of the Blue Ribbon Studios (BRS) team. The BRS consist of three main pillars (Education, Culture/Outreach, & the BRS studio) the goal of these three pillars is to inspire, empower, and grow Nike designers. You'll be working with Nike design leadership, the design community across all disciplines, Nike Sports marketing, comms, Energy & design creatives & communities around the world.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, art or related field; fashion design, product design, industrial design, accessory and footwear design, or textile design or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
  • A hyper connection to culture, design trends, design industry
  • Excellence in relationship building & communication skills
  • A collaborative & positive force for the design community
  • A multifaced design background
  • An ability to manage multiple projects
