WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON:
One of your primary responsibilities will be managing the data and analytics for the bi-annual Apparel & Accessories materials negotiations, supporting round-by-round negotiations to optimize allocation of $2B in annual expenditure for cost, performance, sustainability, and product priorities. You will build and maintain cost models that contextualize market impacts on Nike’s materials cost expectations. In addition to supporting seasonal negotiations, you will build multi-year rate guidance for Finance and track to actuals quarterly.
To accomplish this, you will manage a full-stack Insights platform;
- deploy, automate, and troubleshoot data ETL (extract, transform, load) into cloud DB’s,
- create and govern data views mixing internal, external, and enterprise datasets,
- layer in analytics like optimization and forecasting to derive Insights
- deploy Insights in visuals, tools, and dashboards to drive data-based decision making
As the role and business matures, you will develop and execute the long term Apparel Costing Insights strategy, including partnering with Enterprise Data & Analytics and Global Technology to prioritize and transition mature datasets into the Nike Data Foundation for global consumption, expanding the Insights stack to encompass T1-T3+ costing and partnering to bring it to life. Nike is a dynamic and collaborative environment, as a SME and resource for the team, you enjoy sharing your knowledge with others. You will assist in developing and teaching our data and analytics curriculum designed to educate your stakeholders and analysts with the aim to empower them to interact with our data products in a deeper manner, and incorporate analytics in their daily work.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Apparel & Accessories Materials Costing Lead will work with Materials Supply Chain (Materials Sourcing, Planning, Manufacturing, & Costing) as well as our Materials Development and APAC Product Creation and Costing counterparts to bring new sustainable and innovative materials to market at a competitive cost across a global manufacturing footprint.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or STEM
- 4+ years’ work experience in an analytics-focused role
- Proficiency in a language like SQL, Python and/or statistics package like R, Stata, SAS
- DataBricks & GitHub skills/experience a plus
- Costing, Finance, Product, or Materials subject matter expertise
- Proficiency with Excel & Office products
