WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will work with a dynamic, deadline driven team that manages payroll taxes across the United States and Puerto Rico. The payroll tax team ensures Nike is compliant across a multitude of jurisdictions and partners internally across People Solutions to provide a premium employee experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You need to have strong analytical skills and a curious mindset. You must be comfortable working with large volumes of data, meeting deadlines, balancing multiple priorities, and working in a fast-paced environment. You will have a strong attention to detail, be self motivated, and bring a solid end to end knowledge of payroll taxes. You must take ownership and accountability for your work, have good communication skills, and be customer focused.

Qualifications/Experience should include:

  • 1-3 years in multi-state Payroll
  • Solid computer skills using Excel, Smartsheet, Outlook, Box
  • Understanding & knowledge of payroll tax and statutory compliance
  • Workday and ADP/SmartCompliance software experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance, or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

The Payroll Tax Analyst is responsible for the execution of the day-to-day payroll tax process. They ensure all tax payment/files are completed accurately and timely. They make required adjustments at the federal, state and local tax level, participate in the year-end process to deliver accurate W2s to 40,000 plus employees, and work with state and local agencies as needed.

  • Process daily, monthly, quarterly tax payments and filings accurately & timely
  • Audit/maintain local tax authorities – employee coding and registrations
  • Ensure timely resolution of tax notices
  • Participate in Year End activities and process W-2s and W-2cs
  • Respond to employee inquiries withing established SLAs & identify trends or opportunities for process improvements
  • Process controls & reviews and execute payroll compliance activities
  • Maintain supporting payroll documentation and manage agency registrations and online accounts
  • Manage data requests for internal and external audits
