WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role will include presenting financial plans, forecasts and strategies in key meetings. You'll proactively report on the health of the business and facilitate smart business decisions, communicate financial results, forecasts, and action plans to managers and cross-functional team members on a weekly basis. You'll collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop systems knowledge. In addition, you'll participate in a team structure that facilitates and maximizes individual and team performance, supporting and fostering an open and inclusive environment that embraces diversity, encourages accountability, and drives toward results.

You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training

  • 2+ years of experience in merchandise planning, company planning, merchandising or Allocation required.

  • Past experience working in a vertical retailer and managing relationships with external partners (is preferred but not limited to)

  • Retail Math including intricacies of open to buy and gross margin, retail and financial experience, understanding and familiarity of retail planning software

  • PC literate with working knowledge of Excel including setting up spreadsheets, formulas, etc

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with management and external resources

  • Strong knowledge of cross team calibration

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will help build consumer-centric assortment financial plans, working closely with teams across many areas of the organization such as: Merchandising, Allocation, and Site Experience.  You will be required to balance multiple seasons as well as provide insights and data that will contribute to future seasonal plans and adoption in partnership with Merchandising.

Responsibilities include:

  • Voice of the consumer- Be a consumer, product, and planning expert.

  • Create Pre-Season style plans leveraging analytic insights to support the ultimate goal of Nike Direct

  • Recap and analyze the business against the key sales, inventory, and margin metrics on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.

  • Develop monthly forecasts of sales and inventory for all essential and fashion styles aligned to Field of Play financial goals.

  • Create strong relationships across cross functional partners
