WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking an open-minded exceptional Senior Product Graphic Designer who combines creativity, collaborative problem-solving skills, and experience to help shape the future of our brand. As our Senior Product Graphic Designer, you will combine your experience, problem solving abilities, and creativity to bring to life the quick strike narratives through graphic design that is trend relevant to the consumer across performance and lifestyle footwear. You will create original graphic and/or textile designs that appropriately reflect Nike's design ethos. You will challenge conventional approaches, seeking innovative ways to disrupt traditional design methods. The designs you create will be industry leading, trend right and will consistently incorporate consumer/athlete insights through powerful storytelling, emotional connectivity and relevance.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
You will proactively follow the execution of all product details, including providing the appropriate materials to designers, developers, account managers, and/or graphic separators for the creation of separations, embroidery, and trims. For textiles, you will produce textile repeats for production purposes. You will communicate and present design concepts in response to quick strike briefs; produce presentation materials in conjunction with design and activity teams that effectively communicates the concept behind the line for internal and external audiences.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
This opportunity involves working with design management and cross-functional team members in design, development, and merchandising to ensure feasibility of designs by meeting cost/value requirements, merchandising needs, product creation deadlines, through the effective use of design tools.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- 5+ years of progressively technically sophisticated graphic design experience.
- Proven ability to apply and perform graphic design skills, including drawing/sketching, typography, ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing, and scale, visual presentation development and layout that is supported by a portfolio of non-computer-based creative art and graphic design.
- Positive energy and team-oriented mindset.
- Previous graphic design experience on FW product is preferred
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to trends influencing design in general, and the athletic industry specifically.
- Demonstrated high level of expertise using graphic design software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in local market language, including meeting facilitation and presentations.
- Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with design teams, share ideas and develop effective responses.
- Proven ability to work in a rapidly changing, high-growth environment.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes.
- Knowledge of product creation and basic knowledge of garment/footwear construction.
- Must be able to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs).
- Contribute and align to shared team culture and behaviors.
