Within DSM (Demand and Supply Management), we are optimizing demand and supply to serve consumers and drive profitable growth and inventory productivity for Nike and our partners. We are organizing our work around an industry-consistent structure of sub-functions – including Merchandise Financial Planning, Assortment Planning, Allocations and Replenishment, Space, Location and Markdown Planning. Assortment Planning is organized into consumer-focused teams (Women’s, Men’s and Kids).

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

This role will be part of the Kids Performance team, with responsibility to develop plans for the Nike Marketplace side of the business. The Assortment planner will work across various teams, including Merchandising, Finance, Marketplace- and Supply and Inventory Planning. The Assortment Planner reports to the Assortment Planning Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

  • The Assortment Planner role is responsible for developing seasonal plans inclusive of sales, margin, receipts, and inventory at the levels of Franchise/Merch Class x Market Place Unit (leveraging consistent business logic & analytics).

  • You will own product-driven Open to Buy forecasts to inform manufacturing decisions through in-season optimization at style-color level

  • Analyze the business against plan and forecast in-season sales and inventories on a monthly or weekly basis assessing business risk / opportunity & developing action plans and driving escalations where needed.

  • Monitor top Franchise Stock & Sales Plans & drive x-marketplace decision-making to optimize product health and capture consumer demand and inform trading / pricing decisions.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • We are looking for a candidate who has experience in assortment planning, and the ability to apply that knowledge independently in your work. Basic understanding of financial, product and supply planning. Able to collaborate effectively with up & downstream functions. Aware of emerging trends in planning.

  • Ability for problem solving & critical thinking skills by developing solid plans that optimize trade-off & outcomes. Think beyond prescribed solution, leverages industry & market trends to maximize business outcomes. Understand retail metrics & business drivers.

  • Ability to approach planning end-to-end across all marketplace channels and multiple connected seasons beginning with retail metrics grounded in the marketplace health. 

  • Ability to demonstrate a growth mindset that is ready to leverage statistical forecasting, data science and new ways of working to develop a fact-based plan.

  • Ability to think critically and understand the potential of a style in the marketplace as well as quantify any gaps to financial plan from a product potential perspective.

  • Ability to influence and design compelling communication grounded in data.

  • You are proactive, have strong (written and verbal) communication skills.

Relocation is not provided for this role.
